Great Day touring Ring of Beara from cruise ship

We visited Cobh by cruise ship and had only one short day to tour in the area. Our day with Ester of Kerry Experience Tours was memorable and one of the highlights of our trip. She was right on time and gave us a wonderful "off the beaten track" tour of the ring of Beara. Ester was personable and accommodating to our interests. Great Beara Peninsula Tour from Bantry Pier

Gerrit and Ester own the tour business; Today Gerrit was our driver and very knowledgeable, friendly guide. He gave us background and context for what we were seeing. He showed us incredible vistas and stopped repeatedly for us to photograph them. We went up into mountains and then down to the shore several times, seeing several small towns along the way. Gerrit took us to a great pub in Castletownbere for lunch, and we had truly fresh mussels and a plate with fresh salmon, fresh crab, and smoked salmon. Delicious! Ester checked in with us several days before the tour, making sure that we had Gerrit's phone number and that the pick-up time hadn't changed.
